FAQ

What is the pixel pitch of a Led screen?

It is the viewing distance between one pixel and another.

What is the resolution of the display?

Its resolution is determined on the basis of four key parameters: size, viewing distance, height from the ground and contents shown. In some cases, high resolution can be superfluous because a lower resolution would guarantee an equal visual impact, thus saving on the initial investment. Wide displays with low resolution are better than smaller areas with higher resolution.

What is the difference between a LED display and a LED monitor or video wall?

The surface of a LED display is made of single LEDs that reproduce the image, while LED monitors are used as back lighting. The advantages of a LED display compared to a LED monitor are many: it has greater brightness, longer life, the colours are more vivid, the contrast is greater, with similar brightness it has more heat dispersion, it can be installed outside and it is also flexible both in size and shape. A LED display, in addition to those mentioned above, has a continuous image opposed to that of a video wall that has outer edges which give discontinuity.

What is the difference between SMD and DIP technology?

SMD (Surface Mounting Device) technology is a LED of the latest generation and has many advantages: the image has more contrast as it has more black surface, the angle of view is greater because it is 120° both horizontally and vertically and the RGB LEDs, being positioned inside the same structure, mix, thus decreasing the pixel effect. DIP (Dual In-line Package) technology has greater brightness than a SMD Led.

What is the difference between indoor and outdoor screens?

The difference lies is the protection of its electronic and mechanical components. For an outdoor display both front and back must have a degree of protection greater than or equal to IP 54.

What is the degree of protection?

The degree of protection of a display varies depending on where it is installed, inside or outside and it is rated by the IP code followed by two numbers. The first digit indicates the degree of protection of the materials, while the second digit refers to the protection against the ingress of liquids and they are applied to both the front and the back of the display.

How is the brightness of a device calculated?

The unit of measurement to indicate the brightness of a LED screen is the NIT which determines the number of Candela per square meter.

What kind of display is best to install inside a window?

It all depends on the lighting conditions of the place where the screen is to be installed. If it is an area exposed to direct sunlight, an indoor product with high brightness is the best option; if it is protected from light, a product with indoor brightness is better.

What are the main features of a reliable product?

The main feature that makes a display reliable is the quality of the LEDs. There are several brands of reliable LEDs: N., Japanese, produces high quality LEDs; then there is M., which has an excellent performance. Of course, also the rest of the components, such as the feeders …, must be high quality products.

How does the display work?

A LED screen works in the same way as a monitor. It is connected to the control electronics and to the computer which sends the content to the LED display.

What’s the screen resolution?

Thanks to the latest technology, files can be played in any format (second-level). Otherwise the basic level is the production of content based on the number of horizontal and vertical pixels of the LED screen.

How do I control the displays?

Led displays can be managed remotely by connecting them to an internet network in order to check the settings. Our technicians can also connect to the display in order to help the customer and solve problems.
